Starting with the 2025–2026 season, Hypernova Athletics will follow U.S. Soccer’s move to school-year age groups. Instead of building teams strictly by birth year, players will now be grouped mainly by grade level.

This change supports how we develop players—not just how we form teams. While Hypernova currently competes in local and regional leagues, this alignment gives us more flexibility to place players in environments that match their growth and ability as they progress.
This shift may result in no changes at all to your current team roster. In cases where adjustments do make sense for development reasons, we will offer dual rostering to certain players so they can train and compete at multiple levels.
