About the Coaches
Gary Jaklevich - Club Director/Head Coach
Gary Jaklevich is the driving force behind Hypernova Athletics. As a former youth Premier League player and a retired Army veteran, Gary brings discipline, healthy competitive behavior, and leadership to the field, fostering a culture of resilience and excellence.
Gary is also the head coach of the 2012 and 2014 Hypernova teams, where he focuses on developing strong, confident players who embrace the game with passion and intensity. His coaching philosophy centers around building a strong defense, enhancing physicality within the laws of this beautiful game, and developing a speedy attack. Whether on the field or behind the scenes, Gary’s mission remains the same: to create opportunities for young athletes to excel, grow, and love the game.
Heather Hollingshead – 2015 Head Coach
Heather has over 10 years of playing experience, including 7 years at a competitive level, Heather brings a deep understanding of soccer's technical and strategic aspects. With a passion for the game and a dedication to empowering young athletes, Heather strives to push every athlete to reach their full potential.
As a coach, Heather’s approach is rooted in fostering both skill and confidence, ensuring that players not only develop their athletic abilities but also grow as individuals. While the goal is always to compete and win, Heather believes that the true essence of the game lies in having fun, working hard, and building a love for soccer that lasts long after the final whistle. Under Heather’s s leadership, the team strives to be competitive while maintaining a positive, supportive environment. The emphasis is on personal growth, teamwork, and building the players' confidence both on and off the field.
